THE JIKIDEN REIKI® TRAINING
There are numerous Reiki courses available with varying contents and prices. For someone interested in Reiki, it can be challenging to find the right training amidst the wide range of options available.
To provide more clarity, here are the key features of the traditional Jikiden Reiki® training:
“Jikiden Reiki” is the unchanged, traditional form of Japanese Reiki. This oldest form of Reiki is practiced without Western influences and is passed down exclusively through the Yamaguchi lineage.
The Japanese word “Jikiden” 直傳 is commonly used in traditional Japanese arts and means “directly passed down” or “direct teaching.” Jikiden Reiki® 直傳靈氣® highlights the authenticity and originality of this Reiki form.
Tadao Yamaguchi Sensei is the holder of the trademarks Jikiden Reiki® and 直傳靈氣®, which are internationally registered and protected.
His mother, Chiyoko Yamaguchi Sensei, learned Reiki directly from Chujiro Hayashi Sensei, who was a direct student of the founder Mikao Usui. Together, they founded the Jikiden Reiki Kenkyukai (Institute for Jikiden Reiki) and passed on the teachings in their unaltered form. Since Chiyoko Yamaguchi Sensei’s passing, Tadao Yamaguchi Sensei has continued to lead the institute and conducts courses worldwide.
Jikiden Reiki is not mixed with other treatment methods, ensuring it retains its clear focus and original power.
The Jikiden Reiki treatment method is taught worldwide exclusively by teachers (Shihan) who are authorised by the Jikiden Reiki Kenkyukai Institute in Kyoto, Japan. This includes Switzerland, where certified Jikiden Reiki teachers are authorised to conduct courses. The course content is precisely defined, and participants receive the original course manual (see image) and a certificate from the Jikiden Reiki Kenkyukai Institute.
