Certified Jikiden Reiki Therapist and Authorised Jikiden Reiki Teacher

For many years, I have been interested in energy and natural approaches to health and wellbeing. Goju-Ryu Karate Do, Qigong, Taiji-Quan, Yoga and other practices have accompanied me, and continue to accompany me, throughout my life.

After completing my training as a qualified graphic designer at the School of Design in Zurich, I went on to study in London. I worked for renowned advertising agencies, most recently as a Senior Art Director, creating corporate identities and designs for clients in the pharmaceutical, food and lifestyle sectors.

Since 2015, I have been the owner of Sawah – Jikiden Reiki, in Zurich, and since 1998, I have also owned a design agency specialising in visual communication. From 2005 to 2017, I was additionally the owner of a concept store in Zurich.

Extended periods of study in Asian countries such as Japan, Thailand, Vietnam and Indonesia have shaped my deep understanding of Asian cultures, both traditional and modern.

Thanks to my broad professional experience and my strong personal interest in different cultures, I am able to incorporate my knowledge and my professional approach to working with people into my treatments, consultations and courses.

When I discovered Tadao Yamaguchi’s book Jikiden Reiki – Traditional Japanese Reiki, I realised that, thanks to the Yamaguchi family, the original form of Reiki, free from Western influences, was still being practised (the Yamaguchi lineage). It therefore felt only natural that I should learn this effective healing method in its country of origin, Japan.

I completed the full Jikiden Reiki Teacher training directly with Tadao Yamaguchi Sensei in Japan at the Jikiden Reiki Kenkyukai Institute in Kyoto. I am also a member of the International Jikiden Reiki Association NPO-IJRA.
I am very grateful to have had the opportunity to learn Jikiden Reiki by Tadao Yamaguchi Sensei in Kyoto, Japan.

In my health studio, I have had the privilege of treating numerous people with a wide range of symptoms and supporting them on their journey towards greater health and wellbeing. I hope that I, too, can support you through Jikiden Reiki in a lasting and meaningful way.

I am convinced by the simplicity and effectiveness of Jikiden Reiki. This is why I would like to share this treatment method with people around the world. In Zurich, as an authorised Shihan (teacher), I offer certified Jikiden Reiki courses recognised by the Jikiden Reiki Institute in Japan.

In addition, I am organising the international Jikiden Reiki Seminar 2027 with Tadao Yamaguchi Sensei in Zurich. The seminar will bring together Jikiden Reiki practitioners and teachers from different countries and will include public talks, Jikiden Reiki courses as well as special talks and events for Jikiden Reiki teachers and practitioners.
